Helicopter Transfer arriving at Maverick Sport fishing Charters

The average flight to Costa Rica takes around 3 hours to arrive at the Juan Santamaría, the biggest airport in Costa Rica. The airport is located in Alajuela and is only 1 hour and 15 minutes from Los Sueños Resort (home to Maverick.) There are several ways to get to us from the airport, with most people opting for a private bus or car. However, for those who are in a rush to get out onto the water, we can also help arrange for a helicopter transfer. This only takes about 15 minutes and is a unique and fun way to get to the resort - and will be full of incredible views.

Full-Service Travel

Maverick Costa Rica is a turnkey experience. We’ll help you plan the vacation of your lifetime. In addition to scheduling your fishing charter, we’ll help you with lodging, transportation, adventures, and tours. We can help you plan a boat charter to a private beach, set up your dinner reservations, or even book a private chef to help you prepare your catch. We’ll help you schedule everything in advance, so all you have to do is show up and enjoy your trip!

Bring Your Furry Friends

While there is some paperwork required, we can help you arrange to bring your best furry friend on your vacation! You’ll need to work with your vet to ensure all of the appropriate requirements are met, but this is a fairly easy process and usually takes about a week. We’ve helped numerous clients with this and it is not a difficult process.

What To Wear

Due the proximity to the equator, Costa Rica is lucky and has year-round tropical weather. Shorts, fishing shirts, and flip-flops will be great at our beach club. If you are feeling adventurous, make sure to bring some sneakers - they will be useful on tours like our ATV or Zipline adventures.

But don’t worry - if you forgot to pack something, we got it all in our store!

Safety First!

The peace and safety Los Sueños Resort provides is world-class, so yes, it’s safe for all the family! You can walk around and admire some of the local wildlife like the sloths, the colorful macaws, and tricky white face monkeys. Costa Rica is safe and appropriate for all ages!!!
